Propeller Sizing Seminar
Spring in Virginia! Join
us for a two-day propeller sizing seminar in Virginia Beach, Virginia
on April 23-24. The seminar - Fundamentals of Propeller Sizing (with
PropExpert) - is for everyone who sizes and analyzes inboard propellers
for all boat types, from large work boats to smaller "go-fast"
boats. The seminar is being hosted and sponsored in part by Wildcat
Propellers of Chesapeake, Virginia (www.wildcatprops.com).
Course description
The seminar will be in two parts, and is suitable for all levels
of experience in propeller sizing. Although HydroComp's PropExpert
software is used to illustrate each topic, you do not need PropExpert
to benefit from the seminar. All participants will receive a course
packet with the seminar curriculum, as well as a variety of reports
and resources.
We begin with a general
discussion of fundamental propulsion relationships, then build an
understanding of the propeller sizing objectives and processes,
and finish with actual case studies where participants will be challenged
to solve some problems. At the conclusion of the seminar, there
will be ample time for participants to present and discuss some
of their current projects.
Continental breakfast
and lunch are provided each day.
Why attend?
Conducted by Don MacPherson, HydroComp's Technical Director, our
training seminars are an outstanding value. You will leave with
a new understanding of propeller performance and be better able
to size successful applications for your clients and customers.
As customers become more assertive in seeking quality answers to
their problems, you will need to be able to provide these answers
in a reliable and professional manner. These two days will help
you not only minimize the risk of sizing poor installations, but
you will learn how to analyze an application and be in a position
to provide just the right solution - one that is quick, reliable
and cost-effective.
